Legislation to Open Criminal Files Being Considered

If it becomes law, the measure could begin to end state law enforcement agencies long standing practice of shielding nearly all their files from the public.

If this bill is posted which is doubtful, we could examine criminal investigation files regarding Shellie’s brutal murder and would allow the public, in cases that haven’t been prosecuted, the files would become public three years after the incident.
